Prestigious Recognition and Musical Achievements at Global Chinese Spring Festival Gala Honour 2024

Pagoda Arts proudly announces that its CEO, Zi Lan Liao, has been honoured with the award of Chinese Role Model – 2023 – Outstanding Female, by the Organising Committee of the Global Chinese Spring Festival Gala. The ceremony, which Ms Liao was honoured to attend, was held on January 25, 2024, in Beijing. It recognised Ms. Liao’s outstanding contributions and leadership in the field.

In addition to this prestigious accolade, young musicians from Pagoda Arts, Tian Qiyi, were also honoured with the Chinese Role Model – 2023 Arts Achievement. This recognition highlights the exceptional musical achievements of the duo.

Furthermore, Pagoda Arts was bestowed with the title of “Leader of the Field” at the Global Chinese Spring Gala 2024, emphasising the organisation’s international reputation for excellence in its field.

Upon receiving these esteemed honours, Zi Lan Liao, Pagoda Arts’ CEO, expressed her gratitude, stating, “This is a great honour for us to receive these awards. Without all the support from our staff, board members, volunteers, stakeholders, and our partners, without their dedications, we would not be able to reach our goals. The previous centre manager Polly Green and her team have done so much to build up the centre and trust from the community. We will continue to do our best to provide services to the community.”

The Global Chinese Spring Festival Gala, an important annual event celebrating the achievements of the international Chinese community. The gala, which includes delegates from around the world and various parts of China, is a televised event with broad coverage in China and beyond. It’s organised by several prominent organisations including the China Cooperative Trade Enterprises Association, the China Association for the Promotion of World Ethnic Cultural Exchanges, and the Chinese Business Leaders Club.

Reflecting on the recognition received, Ms. Zi Lan Liao emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation between Liverpool and Shanghai, particularly in the year of the 25th anniversary of their twinning. She stated, “Liverpool has longstanding trading and cultural ties with China, and it’s important that we continue to build grassroots cooperation and understanding for the future.”
