• For the first five days of the New Year, people are not allowed to throw away any rubbish because rubbish is regarded as wealth and cannot be thrown.

• The sixth day, it’s the day to send the poor spirits away. People will throw away their old clothes, rubbish or other dirty things. By doing this Chinese people wish to send away poverty and welcome good luck for the New Year.
