Board Member
Pagoda Arts is seeking two new board members: one with a financial background, one with a commercial background.
At Pagoda, we are planning an ambitious period of growth and are now seeking two new board members – one with a financial background, one with a commercial background – to support strategic, financial and commercial planning as we develop and expand.
Last year, we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the founding of its first Europe Chinese Youth Orchestra, and Pagoda Centre. We used the opportunity as a catalyst for change and our ambition now is to create an artists’ hub for the North, underpinned by local talent development and linked to national and international opportunities. In parallel, we are developing a business model which will combine a new heritage offer, an effective trading subsidiary and the expansion of our award-winning participation work into other centres in the North West and further afield. This new business will require capital works to Pagoda’s city centre building.
We are seeking exceptional individuals who are experienced, both in their professional fields and in working as board members, who can contribute knowledgeably to enable us to realise our ambitions.
If you have the relevant skills and would like to contribute to shaping Pagoda’s future, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please send a CV or summary of your experience and a statement setting out what you would bring to Pagoda to: info@pagodaarts.org.uk
Freelance artists
We are looking for freelance artists for various projects; we are especially interested in Chinese Music, Chinese Knots, calligrapher or Chinese brush painting. If you are interested, please send us your cv to: info@pagodaarts.org.uk
If you already have some artistic background but want to expand your work in Chinese arts, we can provide training sessions to help you to achieve.
